Ingmar Sandberg, PhD
Ingmar holds a PhD in Space and Plasma Physics from Uppsala University, Sweden. His international research experience includes visiting scientist positions at the Russian Academy of Sciences and University of Marseille, alongside research associate roles at universities across Germany and Greece. For the past decade, he has managed various European Space Agency R&D projects focused on space radiation monitor calibration and space environment analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
Constantinos Papadimitriou
Constantinos combines private sector software development experience with research associate positions at leading Greek academic institutions. His expertise includes data curation, time-series analysis, and statistical modeling, applying methods ranging from information theory to machine learning. He serves on the ESA Swarm electromagnetic data calibration team and contributes to the European Space Radiation Environment Model development. His research appears in numerous prestigious international journals.
Sigiava Aminalragia-Giamini, PhD
Sigiava has worked as a research associate since 2012 across multiple scientific projects in Space and Materials science, collaborating with institutions like the National Observatory of Athens and the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos." His research focuses on signal and time-series analysis, probabilistic modeling of space weather, and AI applications. He developed the VESPER model, which serves as the solar proton component of the European Space Radiation Environment Model.
Christos Katsavrias, PhD
Christos is a space physicist and Postdoctoral Researcher at NKUA, earning his PhD from the University of Athens in 2019. His research concentrates on magnetospheric physics and space weather, particularly energetic particles in the Van Allen radiation belts, wave-particle interactions, and time-series analysis. His work has been published in multiple scientific journals and presented at international conferences.
Nantia Moutsouroufi, MSc
Nantia earned her Astrophysics master's degree from the University of Athens, where her thesis utilized long-term Cassini measurements to develop a Magnetospheric Stress Index for Saturn's Magnetosphere. She actively participates in science communication and public outreach, organizing educational activities and serving as editor and author for the "SpaceGates" blog. She managed "SpaceGates Academy" an initiative providing science communication training to early career researchers.
Kimon Tsilias, MSc
Kimon received his BSc in Physics and completed the "Space Technologies, Applications and seRvices - STAR" MSc program at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His professional experience encompasses working with multi-mission datasets, instrument calibration, data analysis, visualization techniques, and machine learning applications.
Zafar Iqbal
Zafar brings over 20 years of programming experience across the UK and Greece, combining computer science education from Oxford with design training from Central Saint Martins. His technical expertise spans secure software architecture, distributed systems, web applications, and cyber-physical systems. His career includes positions at ZDNet/CNET and the National Technical University of Athens, with his innovative science and art contributions earning him recognition among Europe's Top 50 Makers in 2016.
