International Workshop on Radiation Imaging Detectors 2026
The International Workshop on Radiation Imaging Detectors (iWoRID) 2026 brings together researchers and engineers from around the world to share the latest advances in position-sensitive detectors for radiation imaging. Held annually, the workshop serves as a leading forum for the radiation detector community, covering a wide spectrum of detector technologies - from semiconductors and scintillators to gaseous and quantum devices.
Topics span the full detector development chain, including sensor materials and processing, front-end electronics and readout systems, and imaging theory and reconstruction techniques. Applications range from high energy physics and astronomical imaging to medical science, fusion research, and industrial security systems. This year’s programme will also feature highlighted sessions on hyperspectral X-ray sensors and large-scale position-sensitive particle detectors.
The workshop features plenary sessions with invited and contributed papers presented both orally and as posters, with invited talks reviewing recent advances across all covered areas.
