European Space Radiation Shielding Workshop 2026
The European Space Radiation Shielding Workshop 2026 is bringing together experts to map the current state of the art in radiation shielding for space applications across Europe. Radiation shielding plays a critical role in protecting sensitive electronics and electrical systems from the harsh space environment - and is considered one of the key challenges for future human exploration of the Moon and Mars.
The workshop will cover both traditional shielding approaches and novel techniques that could become enabling technologies for future missions. Experts from non-space domains are also welcome, fostering cross-sector knowledge exchange. The event features a flexible format including keynote lectures, presentations, short pitches, and posters, with dedicated time for networking and discussion. A product and company display area will also be available. The workshop is held in-person only.
