Sun and Space Weather Workshop 2026

The inaugural Workshop on Sun and Space Weather brings together researchers working across the full chain of solar and space weather science, from activity on the Sun through to its effects on Earth’s technological systems. Being the first edition of this workshop, it represents an exciting new addition to the international space weather events calendar.

The programme covers a broad and highly relevant range of topics for the space weather community, including solar and geomagnetic observations, eruptive solar phenomena (flares, CMEs, SEPs, and shocks), CME propagation through the heliosphere, magnetosphere–ionosphere coupling, cyclic behaviour of solar and geomagnetic activity, and the impacts of space weather on technological infrastructure.
