Space Environment Monitoring Workshop 2025
The European Space Agency (ESA) has announced SPACEMON 2025, a specialized workshop focused on space environment monitoring technologies and research. Organized jointly by the ESA Space Environments and Effects section (TEC-EPS), the Space Safety Programme (S2P), and the Space Environments and Effects Network of Technical Competences (SEENoTC), this three-day event will bring together experts in the field of space environment monitoring.
The workshop will cover critical areas including space radiation, plasma, electromagnetic fields, dust, micro-particle and atomic species monitoring. A significant focus will be placed on the exploitation of in-flight data to improve future monitoring systems.
Sessions will include:
- Agency Overview and Flight Opportunities
- Radiation Monitors and data exploitation
- Plasma Monitors and data exploitation
- Various detection technologies including Micro-particle Detectors, Dust detectors, Magnetometers, and Atomic Oxygen sensors
